we are not making enough hourly! I have had bartenders say, they are sorry for us. he asked how we live making 6.15 an hour. he told me he was making 16.10 an hour and he gets to keep his tips!!! making twice or as much as three times more than i make and hour. from our billion dollar employer. dealers spend a lot more time with the customers and sell the property to make our bosses look good! it's time they take care of us!!! and PAY UP!!

You are soooo Right! It is time for
them to pay us what we so rightly deserve! If you look around us, we see many
different UNIONS just at the Paris. They all get a fair and decent wage plus get
to keep their tips. Through our efforts we do make the CM's , ACM's , President,
Vice President and CEO look like a BILLION DOLLARS!
Some of us got 21 cents. Some got
nothing because the FEDERAL MINIMUM wage went up and although you worked hard
for the year that's all you get. And then there are those that have been working
for 28 YEARS who are at the MAX. The company says good job, but we can't give
you any more you're at the maximum wage we will ALLOW you to earn. The company
will still spotlight you EVERY month, they will still evaluate you 6 months then
yearly and just to top things off send in spotters to spy on us!
So unless We all stand up, band
together, sign those cards and say " I've had ENOUGH! " things will
remain status quo.

Hellooooooooo Paris Dealers!
Congrats on getting your "Readers Write" section up!
Several things I would like to clarify:
#1 - I have read several feedbacks questioning if the extra-board/part-time Dealers will be included at the Paris. They ARE included at Caesars Palace. We made sure of that. To be included at the Paris there is something the PT Dealers MUST DO...send in their cards. IF they do NOT send in their cards, the Paris Organizing Committee will see that and will assume the PT Dealers are not supporting the Union drive and may exclude them. BUT, if the PT Dealers DO send in their cards, that too will be recognized and the Committee will most
definately want them to be eligible. So, the bottom line is, it is up to the PT Dealers to decide if they want to be included or not.
Now, like I said, the PT Dealers ARE in the bargaining unit at CP, but they are NOT at The Wynn. Why not at The Wynn? Maybe because Steve-O hired 300 PT Dealers to try to swing the vote? Maybe because a very small percentage of those 300 Dealers submitted cards?
I read a post on this site asking about "insurance and 401(k)". Well, the TWU allows the Locals to run "autonomously" is the first thing to remember. So, for the "721" to get a "deal" on group health insurance, they will need a LOT of members first. So, as the Local grows, you will keep your current employer sponsored health insurance. BUT, that will not prevent your negotiating Team from bargaining lower premiums and better coverage. Again, until we build the "721" it is not
feasible for a "pension" offered through the Local. So again, you will keep your current retirement plan, and again your Committee will try to negotiate a better "match" or more options for your current plan.
Do you want a "pension" and/or insurance through the Union? So do I. But FIRST we must grow the Local "721" for that to happen. Do NOT sit back and expect
everyone else to grow it for you. Get onboard and help us grow it. Then, when we have 50,000 Dealers (probably before then) we can work on insurance and pension through the Local. But then again, that will be up to the Local "721" Members to decide. Not even the Union will dictate to us. Like I said, the Local "721" will be "autonomous", the beauty of it all.
To get some more dialogue, please make sure you visit the "721's" website at TWULocal721.org and for some "live action" visit the bulletin board at LVDealers.com (the "721's" BB).
Now, join together with The Wynn and Caesars Palace and SECURE YOUR FUTURE!

Dealer! At the Paris, if you ever noticed, we have tons of extra board dealers
on the weekends. We will and always will, because our full time dealers will
always need time to spend with our families.
Yes, our full time dealers do get all the
attention, but they've EARNED it! And so will you.

Terrific to see the Feedback section now up and running! Thanks for your hard work now and in the future in running the site. If you work at Paris, as I do, or know someone who does, lets make sure dealers know this web address and encourage all to come and see it. We're not talking it up enough! We have a right to do so on our breaks, don't we? It also occurs to me, perhaps our commrades who are from other countries, other cultures, other languages...and there are so many working at Paris...perhaps they see the unionization effort as something its not. Let's reach out to them, help them with the history behind unions in the USA, help them understand why it is something they should embrace without fear. Sorry to ramble, just some thoughts, and thanks again!!!

and especially our Harrah's properties. We want you to know that your TWU Local
721 Caesars Palace brothers and sisters are behind you 100%. Anything we can do
to help ...just ask. Please give something back to your company and sign your
Authorization Cards!!! For those of you that are afraid to sign or get
involved...don't be....our current management is so mis-managed that they don't
know the business much less the laws that protect you. Get educated thru our
very extensive websites and get unionized. I am an In House Organizer and I, as
well as all the others on our IHO team and organizing committee, are still
working and looking forward to our second day of negotiations on Thursday.
Please...protect yourselves and send in your cards and let us not only work for
the same company but be one in solidarity thru a union that will protect us all

Hello Fellow "Front Line Employees", (Isn't it odd how
the "Ivory Tower" throws that title around when it is their time to
beat us into submission and then somehow forgets how important we all are when
we ask for what is equitable as a "Front Line Employee"?)
I read a blurb that was posted about the toke seizure in the
late 80's by the IRS and felt compelled to offer up a little more info for those
of us that were not around back then.
During that time of "Waco" negotiation training, when
Steve Wynn welcomed with open arms the Third Reich into the Valley of the
"Bent noses" and sold out his "Front Line Employees" by
being the first casino owner to offer up his troops, there was a "MAN"
in our midst! There was a maverick that said HELL NO to treason and stood his
ground for those of us that dealt through the pain and sorrow of watching
everything that we deserved be taken away like a child that is kidnapped from
it's warm bed in the 3 a.m. hour without the forewarning of a phone ringing!
That MAN'S name was Mr. Binion!
When "old Bush" sent the troops into the park to kill
the veterans of so many wars, it was Mr. Binion that stood up and said
"NO" those toke boxes belong to me, they are property of the Horseshoe
and therefore anything in those boxes also belongs to me! It was Mr. Binion that
did not whimper at the sight of his own blood and took those tokes out of those
boxes and counted them out of the sight of "insurgent combatants"! And
yes it was Mr. Binion who allowed his "Front Line Heroes" to receive
there fair share of the bounty that had been won in the days battle by allowing
them to sign counter checks at the cage!
Ahhh, I digress! and long... for the days when a leader
understood that you lead by example and fortitude and not by hair dye and
servitude!
RESPONSE:
Yes, history has gone by the wayside of
the ALMIGHTY CORPORATIONS. We need a leader that will stand up for our rights

I WANT TO KNOW IF HEALTH BENEFITS/PENSION ARE SEPARATE FROM

We have unions all around us. They don't
have to pay for health insurance. They have paid company pension funds. What we
will be asking for is a " ME TOO" clause They do pay for union dues,
but if we get all of what we're asking for, then that shouldn't be a problem.
As for the downside of having a union?
NONE!!! unless you're the COMPANY? hummm

I hear lots of concern that Extra Board dealers will be excluded
from representation if and when we get an election passed. PLEASE CONFIRM THAT
THIS IS NOT TRUE. Whatever the bias attached to "Extras", we are
simply part-time employees, who are allowed to be screwed more than full-time
employees, and have obstacles to going full time that some cannot comply with,
nor should be. We are employees contributing tokes to the toke pool that all
full-time employees benefit from as well. We should be represented also, as all
employees. If Extras may be excluded, PLEASE SAY SO NOW SO WE CAN STOP
SUPPORTING THE ORGANIZATION EFFORT!!!!
RESPONSE:
In our efforts to organize a union, we
will make sure in our negotiating process that ALL dealers are represented
FULLTIME and EXTRA BOARD.

Caesars did. The only way to have any power over these corporations is to have

Today i went to my second meeting, and the meeting went very
well. In the days to come there will be some information coming out that will
enlighten the truth about the union. For those of you that are not sure about
the union please just ask yourself what do you have to win or lose. I know for
fact that all this company have done is take and take. by we pushing the union
they can't take or give anything from us, until we settle. this means that if
they want to raise our benefits premium, they can't. think about that for a
minute.

Management has been asking dealers whether they signed a union
card and if they support it. Is this something they can do
RESPONSE:
NO! They can not ask you if signed a card
or support the union. If they do, they are breaking FEDERAL LAWS!
What you can do is fill out an "
Incident Report" form located on our Home Page and mail it into our Local
Chapter 721.
